Michael Ajibola Abiodun is a Professor of Linguistics in the Department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages, Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria.

He is a seasoned teacher and researcher in Linguistics. He has taught different areas of Linguistics and Yoruba Language for over thirty years His areas of interest are phonology, morphology, historical linguistics, dialectology and sociolinguistics. He has published in these different areas in notable local and international journals of Linguistics. He is also a talented Yoruba creative writer.
